Zanzibar Butterfly Center

The Butterfly Center near the Jozani Forest shows a great variety of butterflies living here in Zanzibar. On a 30 minute tour, the local guide explains the life cycle of a butterfly and explains the project, worth supporting, within the community. Afterwards you have time to linger in the butterfly garden and get close to these fascinating creatures. Even other small species like chamaeleons or snails can be found here. It is a perfect addition to other excursions along the way and a beautiful spot to visit with children.
